Former baseball player divorces again

For all my baseball fans – did you hear about Pete Rose’s 26-year marriage ending?  He recently filed for divorce from his second wife, Carol.

The 70-year old former baseball player cited irreconcilable differences in his petition.  He agreed to pay her spousal support but does not want to pay her divorce attorney’s fees.  In addition, he wants his baseball memorabilia that was his before the marriage.  This includes jewelry.

Rose was first married in 1964 and divorced in 1980.  He married his second wife in 1984.  He has four adult children; two with each wife.

Pete Rose’s marriage has not been happy – at least since November 2009 that we know about.  He revealed that he was having an affair with a former flight attendant.  He has been retired from playing baseball since 1986; however, he continued to manage the Reds until his ban in 1989.
