Getting a restraining order

Follow Us

When a couple separates, one party might go from being comfortable one day to being in the dark regarding financial matters the next day.  There may be some uncertainty especially when only one spouse was in charge of finances.

In order to protect each party until the divorce is finalized, you could request a restraining order from the court.  A restraining order will specify things like which expenses each party will be responsible for and prohibit either party from liquidating assets or selling property without the other’s consent.

If you are thinking about divorce or separation and feel uncertain about your financial situation, contact an experienced Riverside Family Law attorney who will set your mind at ease and help you obtain a restraining order to keep your finances intact.
