Is your spouse cheating on you?

Infidelity has been the cause of many marriages heading for divorce – it happens more often than we would like to believe.

Statistics show that between 45% and 60% of both men and women engage in extramarital affairs during some point in their relationship.  The spouse that is cheating tries to rationalize by saying his or her spouse drove him or her to it.  No one can drive you to do something; you do it yourself.

Infidelity will do serious damage to your marriage; it betrays your partner’s self-respect and integrity.  If your spouse’s regular routine has changed and he or she has stopped giving you the affection you love, it could be a sign that he or she is cheating on you. Check for signs that include lipstick on a collar, emails, text messages, or just go with your intuition.

If you believe your partner is cheating on you, sit down and try to discuss your feelings in a non-accusatory way.  Stay calm.  If you were right, you could choose to try and fix your relationship or you might decide on divorce.

If you decide on divorce, contact an experienced Riverside Family Law attorney to discuss your options – an attorney who is committed to protecting your best interests and informing you of all aspects that impact your case.
