For those sports fans out there – Have you heard that former baseball player Andrew Jones was accused of domestic abuse by his wife Nicole; she filed for divorce just one week later after ten years of marriage?

According to reports, Jones allegedly grabbed his wife’s neck and threatened that he wanted to kill her.  Domestic violence and divorce issues are taken very seriously by courts all over the country.  In this case, if the allegations are proven to be true, Jones will likely face a hostile court during his divorce proceedings.

Nicole asked for joint legal custody of their 9-year old son.  She also asked for primary physical custody, which would mean that the child would spend most of his time with his mother.  In addition, she’s asking for half the couple’s property as well as alimony and child support.

It appears that the couple did sign a prenuptial agreement; however, Nicole is asking the judge to declare the agreement invalid.  It will be interesting to watch and see what happens with this issue.
