The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says Kordell filed for divorce from Porsha on March 22 after less than two years of marriage.

Kordell insists he should not have to pay for spousal support for Porsha is an abled bodied woman who earns a steady income and can sustain herself. According to the Huffington Post, Porsha must be very devastated, her entire identity involved being married to Kordell and building a family with him.

While alimony is typically paid by the higher-earning spouse to the lower-earning spouse, there are a variety of factors that must be considered before alimony is awarded. The goal of spousal support is to prevent a divorce from financially shocking someone.
