Why use mediation?

Follow Us

Mediation encourages the couple to treat each other with respect.

The process is voluntary.  A neutral third party helps the couple make practical and informed decisions so they can resolve their differences in a cooperative and friendlier atmosphere than a courtroom.

A trained mediator will help the couple work together to arrive at a fair and reasonable agreement regarding family issues that include child and/or spousal support, division of property, parenting schedules, and debt allocation.  At the end, the couple usually reaches an agreement that is custom-made for their family.
